Women On Wednesday - WOW

Hosted by: Women's Center, St. Cloud State University

Women On Wednesday (WOW)
2011 THEME: What’s Our Status? Women, Technology and Social Media

When: Wednesdays
Time: Noon to 1:00 p.m.
Where: SCSU Campus, Atwood Theatre, Atwood Memorial Center

ALL ARE WELCOME!

The theme of technology and the impact on women's lives deserves a fresh exploration as more and more women reap the benefits and deal with the challenges of current technologies, including social media.  A microcosm of these discussions occur at the Women's Center, in SCSU classrooms and on-line every day.  Women are asking important questions about whether and in what ways there is a digital divide, how relationships are affected by social media, how technology compromises women's safety, and the ways that individuals and organizations use technology to further social justice causes. Join the discussion to gain insight, learn new information and meet knowledgeable speakers as we explore the status of women in relationship to technology.
